| Monarch
School is dedicated to providing each student with
a safe and supportive peer community, conducive to
personal growth and learning. First and foremost,
Monarch is a school designed to provide each student
with a solid academic education, while further recognizing
that emotional health is essential to a productive
life.
Each student
enrolls into a "peer group" which consists
of 15-17 students enrolled during the same two or
three month period. The peer group serves as a “family”
within the larger student population. Students within
a peer group share in each sequential step of the
Monarch School curriculum and ultimately stand on
the graduation stage together. Through the peer group
model, meaningful friendships are established and
nurtured, which often continue after graduation and
into adulthood. A Peer Group Leader and two life skills
instructors work with the each peer group throughout
each group’s enrollment.
