OVERVIEW

Monarch School is dedicated to bringing quality education to students and families. We believe a quality education consists of more than academic achievement. To truly achieve a higher level of learning, you must establish and foster a strong healthy character, the ability to make positive life choices, and the will and knowledge to succeed.

The year-round school calendar, the 18-21 month time-frame, small class sizes, and the unique organization of class time allows many students to make up for time lost in academics. And, for those students for whom it is appropriate, post secondary classes are available. Teachers are an integral part of campus life in all aspects of the school and students make close, personal relationships with the teaching staff.

Students learn by actually doing. This enables students for whom academics have been a struggle to allow themselves to see education in a whole new way and to rediscover their motivation and love of learning.

Through Monarch School's personal development curriculum, the foundation for emotional serenity necessary for personal well-being is established. Student's priorities are redefined based on the values of integrity, joy, persistence and love. Monarch School's faculty members are a positive presence in each student's life; they are consistent in their commitment to counsel and encourage students toward higher individual achievement and a greater sense of self-worth.

Monarch School's natural setting provides a virtual outdoor classroom for a variety of educational opportunities and adventures. Each outdoor experience provides students with the opportunity to learn life-long skills they can utilize and practice in adulthood. Through outdoor education, students may practice new skills, boost confidence and realize the benefits of a relationship with the outdoors.

The hands-on experience of Monarch School's vocational learning curriculum is essential to each student's personal growth. Students develop a positive work ethic, along with problem solving and planning skills. Each component provides students with the opportunity to experience a sense of satisfaction in completing a task from beginning to end. This sense of completion promotes confidence, which translates into other aspects of the student's life.

There is no greater place to expand and challenge self-confidence than through the creative arts. Students rediscover the innocence they still possess and the imaginative process essential to any productive life. Through music, visual art, drama, or other artistic endeavors, children become engaged in the exploration and discovery of their true selves.

This creates an education for life.
