PARENT RESOURCES

We at the Monarch School know that success for each student is directly related not only to their own hard work, but to the extent of their parents’ support and participation in the Monarch program. Parents, students and staff are partners, each working in their individual role towards graduation and completion. We are working together to allow each student to go on to a productive, healthy and happy adulthood.

Communication to parents is frequent and scheduled between Peer Group Leaders and the rest of the staff. We are dedicated to providing communication that is relevant, up-to-date, reliable, and first-hand.

Parent Conferences take place four times per year and include a visit and meetings with staff.

For daily information about the school, parents are invited to access our MSN interactive web site, which is only available to parents and some staff. Parents have the opportunity to ask questions, seek advice, or simply share experiences with other parents. Monarch staff regularly post notices, information, and pictures. This parent-managed site is invaluable for receiving or offering support and accessing information quickly.

Parents should also know about the Monarch School Alumni site which provides support to graduates and their parents. We also host two alumni meetings per year in various off-campus locations so that graduates can meet with staff and fellow alumni on a regular basis.
